Ninth Insight The Emerging Culture "The Celestine Prophecy"

The ninth insight of "The Celestine Prophecy" deals with how the culture is going to evolve when people had already attained understanding of all the first eight insights.

The first point mentioned by the book is that humans will significantly control world's population growth so that all of the population can live at beautiful places surrounded by nature. There will be more beautiful places available at that time as comparing to present time. We will stop cutting of forests. It was highlighted in the book that forests are great source of energy. Especially, old trees are the sources of abundant energy. So, humans will prefer living around old trees and beautiful gardens to remain full of energy.

From the technological aspect, the methods of food production, cloth production and transportation will be fully automated. We will not need any currency to buy things at this point. Our lives will be abundant from both spiritual and materialistic sense. Both the dimensions are necessary for us for our fulfilment and contentment.

Individuals at this point will know what they need to do at what instant of time. They will follow their intuitions. Every individual will be able to find the natural tendency of himself. Those who want to be painters will be painters, who want to be doctors will be doctors. It is not like the present society where people are just adopting particular professions for the sake of money and fame. The future society will be free from the greed of fame and money. As, there will be no currency to operate in the society. Different professions will be enjoyed as much as they can be enjoyed. This enjoyment and harmony in different professions will further raise the level of energy and consciousness.

Society will be free from imposing of one's thoughts over others. Currently, we inherit thoughts and morality from our parents and people surrounding us. In that society, individual will be respected for his unique thoughts. The thoughts which appear strange and bizarre to us today will be natural and common in the future society.

Eighth Insight The Interpersonal Ethic "The Celestine Prophecy"

The eighth insight deals with how we can become addicted on others for energy. When anybody is addicted to a particular person for energy, he gets disconnected from his or her main source of energy which is universe.

This insight generally talks about romantic relationships. At the beginning of such relations, when we meet a particular person, we feel euphoria and feeling of being perfect while present with that person. Both man and woman transfer energy to each other when they are in relation which makes them feel good. But slowly, we see that something has started going wrong. It is because of dependency of energy from each other. One starts expecting things from his or her partner which in turn tries to suck energy from the partner in a forceful way. When one tries to suck energy in a forceful way, the other person stops the transfer of energy. When desired energy is not acquired from the partner, conflict starts occurring. Now, the person is not having energy supply from the partner and also not from the universe itself. It stops the process of evolution for a particular individual.

Author says that the best way to deal with this addiction is to get rid of feeling of love at first sight. When we get attracted towards a particular person of opposite sex at first sight, it makes us weak. We subconsciously want to enter in a relation with that person and become dependent for energy on that person. We can easily get addicted to such a person if we enter in a relation with that person. The right thing is to be aware about the person you want in life who can understand you completely.

Human body is actually composed of both male and female. It is all about dominance. If male portion is dominating in a human body then the person is considered male in traditional society otherwise she is female. We cannot be satisfied sexually till this male and female inside us meet. Man gets attracted towards a woman when he finds a woman close to the woman inside him. Woman gets attracted towards a man when she finds a man close to the man present inside her. So, we are generally not aware of opposite sex bodies present inside us. When couples meet traditionally, they do not get satisfied as opposite sex bodies present inside us cannot be replaced by bodies present in the outside physical world. The right approach is to have a person who is very close to the opposite sex present in your body and you do not need to be addicted to such a person. It is likely that they will keep transferring their energies to each other without any conflict. It does not hinder the supply of energy coming from the universe. The supply of energy from the universe can only make man and woman present inside our bodies to mate with each other which results to super contentment and satisfaction. Osho Rajneesh talked about the same things in his discourses. He considered this state as the attainment of super consciousness when both opposite sex bodies present inside us mate with each other.

Osho Rajneesh highlighted these issues in a slight different but in a better way. I will also start writing about those discourses which will give you better understanding of this energy transfer between couples.

Seventh Insight Engaging the Flow "The Celestine Prophecy"

It is recommended that you read last six posts in order to follow proper sequence.

The seventh insight talks about how humans in future will be able to let themselves free in existence without any conflict. The existence will automatically guide them towards their goals and ambitions. This guidance can be in the form of dreams, thoughts and day dreams. Dreams convey a lot of information to us. I do not recommend you to interpret your dreams because the world of dreams delivers totally a different message than our traditional thinking. It is almost certain that you will interpret your dreams in a wrong way. It is all about the seventh insight which is talking about future when our consciousness would be able to interpret them in a right way. Person will be able to relate dreams with their present situations of life. Dreams will guide them in a certain way, giving them a meaningful information.

This intuition can be in the form of thoughts too. When humans will start gaining understanding of seventh insight, they will be able to analyze their thoughts. They will be able to relate every thought with the major events happening in their lives. From those thoughts, they will acquire the direction to proceed.

Now, I will discuss about the thing that I liked the most about this insight. It says that when humans will start leaving themselves in this cosmos. They can enter into situations which are worst as per their normal understanding but it is part of cosmos. We are not able to see the distant future. Things adjust in a way that is beyond our imagination and normal consciousness. We also do not need to think how the things are going to adjust. They will adjust automatically. Our work would be only to watch the things but not to become victim of things.

There have been great mystics who talked about the same thing. Like Guru Nanak said "Do not fight with cosmos. More you fight, more pain and sufferings you will be collecting. Do not try to handle cosmos but let the cosmos handle you."

Sixth Insight Getting free from the Past "The Celestine Prophecy"

In the fifth insight, I discussed about the glimpses of mysticism that humanity is going to experience in the future. During this experience, person will lose sense of his body but the universe itself will become his or her body. The book "The Celestine Prophecy" says that such an experience would be temporary in nature. After some amount of time, person would be back to its normal consciousness. It would be temporary because of our pasts. We all humans stick hard to our pasts. Our lives are conditioned from childhood. We look at the society and start adopting their rules and regulations. This conditioning deviates us from our very true nature. Society teaches us to become someone else and we try hard to do it. This trying continues till the end of our lives and we do not get successful in becoming that someone else. Actually, it is almost impossible to be someone else. How can it be possible for a rose flower to be a sun flower.

I think that the whole society plays role in conditioning us but book generally talked about only parents who program us. In the fourth insight, I talked about the struggle for energy. This struggle for energy is the main reason of programming of our minds. We consciously or unconsciously under the influence of our parents start behaving in a certain way to gain energy from others. Author classified people`s programmed minds into four different types which are intimidator, interrogator, aloof and poor-me.

Intimidators: This category includes violent people. They are violent consciously or unconsciously to gain energy from a person who is being scared by them.

Interrogators: This category includes people who ask too much of questions to gain attention. Author said that such people are the result of having aloof parents who are either very busy in their works or who are not very caring.

Aloof: This category behaves in an unfriendly and unpredictable manner to make a particular person more interested in them. For example, if I ask question to such a person then he or she will try to answer it incompletely or in such a way that will make me to inquire more. Aloof people are the result of having interrogating parents.

Poor-me: This category includes people who constantly makes other people feel guilty because of their present conditions. They keep on talking about their horrible pasts to gain sympathy of people. Intimidating parents result into being poor-me. If poor-me does not work for a person in gaining energy then person starts fighting aggression with aggression by being an intimidator.

The sixth insight deals with breaking all the conditioning and realizing yourself as a spiritual entity. Realizing that you are more than what your parents have taught you, continues the process of evolution. Otherwise, we all know that stagnated water produces bad smell.

In the fourth insight, I talked about human struggle for power. Humans perceive till fourth insight that power is limited which makes them to fight with other humans for power. During the fifth insight, humans are going to realize that this power is unlimited and this vast universe is its source. Humans will stop sucking each others energy and will depend on the vast existence to remain full of energy.

The fifth insight talks about mystical experience that most of the humans are going to experience when they reach a particular point. Mystics have been talking about such experiences. Hence, the name "The message from Mystics" has been given to this insight. During this mystical experience, one is going to lose sense of his or her physical body but the whole universe itself becomes his or her body. He will not be able to distinguish himself from any other thing available in the existence. He will be flowers, trees, leaves, other humans or anything present in this vast existence. Now, what will be the point of struggling with others for power. You are universe. What else can be given to you? There is no further growth anymore. Whole energy available in the universe serve you. You become contented and fearless. It is the point when you realize clearly in one sense that you are not just a single physical body but you are infinite consciousness.

During the description of third insight in my last posts, I talked about my personal experience which I felt was close to third insight. I will explain here some portion of that experience again. Sometimes on any random day at any random time, I experience sense of complete silence within me. It only lasts for few seconds. During this experience, I am not able to distinguish between myself and a particular object I am looking at. We both become like a single entity. I think, it is not close to full mystical experience yet but it is a tiny fragment of that. I think that my personal experience is more close to the fifth insight than with the third insight.

Fourth Insight The Struggle for Power "The Celestine Prophecy"

The fourth insight deals with our struggle for power in this world. We can clearly see that humans are trying hard to dominate each other. We want to reach at higher designations. We want to earn lots of money so that we can hire people to work for us. We want to control others in different ways. It is the desire which operates at the sub-conscious level. The fourth insight is the identification of this greed for power and energy. This insight is directly attached with ego fights. As, soon as we stop fighting for this power with humans, people are going to be free from their egos which is the root cause of all pains and sufferings. But, the question arises that what this power and energy are in a fundamental way.

In the third insight, we talked about the existence of invisible energy which can nourish us. All the universe is made up of this invisible energy. We basically fight for this energy which can make us to feel better. Energy transfers from the person being dominated to the person who is dominating. A person who is dominating gets filled with energy and hence feels better.

When humans are going to realize about this fourth insight, they will realize about their individuality. They are going to realize that no other individual can be like them. They are utterly unique in this vast existence. At this point, there will be no point of struggle for power. Humans will be contented within themselves without any conflict. Humans will cease to fight for energy with other humans but eventually they will shift their focus towards some another source. It was not mentioned in the book about the source of this energy till the description of the fourth insight. I will explain this source of energy as soon as book starts talking about it in the next chapters.

The Third Insight from "The Celestine Prophecy"

It is suggested to read last two posts before going through this post. As, I am going to discuss third insight from the book "The Celestine Prophecy" in this post. So, it is better if you know the first two insights to follow the proper sequence of the book.

We perceive this physical world in one particular sense. We see objects, things and people around ourselves. Different observations make us to establish definition of this physical world. As, time will pass we are going to have different understanding of this physical world. The third insight deals with the existence of invisible energy which can nourish everything present in the universe. The third insight is all about identification of this invisible energy which is going to change our perception towards this physical world.

Scientists are working in this direction especially quantum physics says that all the objects including ourselves are just made up of energy. Nothing is truly solid in this physical world. Every object is just having a particular energy pattern. When we all humans or most of the humans will start realizing these energy patterns, we will have understanding of this new definition of physical world. These different energy patterns carried by different objects and people, will be visible in the form of different colors vibrating within them. One of the character present in the book experienced this phenomenon. Author explained this phenomenon well enough using that character but I think he could be more organized. He randomly wrote things about this third insight without proper sequence. It also made the task difficult for me to express third insight in my words.

I remember something very relevant to this invisible energy discussed by Osho Rajneesh in one of his discourses. If, you do not know about Osho Rajneesh, you can check different videos of him present at this blog or youtube. He discussed in one of his discourses about research happened in the real scientific world. The research was related to growing of plants under two different sets of conditions. One set of plants were grown with greater care and affection. Humans just needed to imagine love and care for plants in their minds. The other set of plants were grown with lesser care and love from humans. The normal things required like water, manure etc. for their nourishment were provided in the same manner for these two different sets. It was noticed that plants who were given more love and affection were more healthy and bigger as comparing to other set. The similar research was also discussed in the book to explain the concept of invisible energy. I think this invisible energy is not other than love. This existence has given birth to all of us. Hence, it is trying to nourish us. We all have capability to unveil all our potential from within us. Existence provides this invisible energy which can synchronize with all of us to help us to be contented. We call it love in traditional sense.

Now just consider a real life example. Have you ever wondered when some old person gives us blessings, it can be good for our health and our existence. It is like giving love in the form of invisible energy. The intentions of the person who is giving us blessings play an important role. Giving blessings is just projecting positive loving energy on someone. This energy can be altered in many ways depending on the intentions of a person.

I would like to discuss here my personal experience. I personally have felt strange phenomenon number of times. It happens just on any random day, when I am walking down the street, sitting on my bed or taking a shower. What happens is everything stands still for few seconds within me. If, that particular phenomenon happens while looking at some person, I feel at particular moment that I never looked at that person in such a way in my entire life. I feel that there is no boundary between me and the person being observed. We both become a single entity. It lasts for few seconds and then this phenomenon suddenly vanishes. I do not see any colors during this phenomenon as mentioned in the explanation of third insight in the book. So, it may be something different or may be something more similar to the coming insights.

The Second Insight from "The Celestine Prophecy"

It is convenient to read last post that I have written about the book "The Celestine Prophecy". In the first post, I discussed about the first insight written in the book. It can give you general idea about what this book is all about and it can help you in understanding what the second insight is. I will discuss all the insights present in the book in the right sequence. This post will be focused on the second insight.

The second insight is a little complex to understand. In simple words, it relates to understanding path of morality throughout entire history that we have crossed. Today, whatever ethics we are having, they have been shaped or influenced by the history. People who lived before us, had totally different moralities than we have today. To understand this insight, one of the character imagined about the past as if he is really living it. He imagined himself in the year 1000 where churchmen were the main authority. They were considered as an interface between God and the humans. They programmed human minds in such a way that humans believed they can have access to God only through them. They injected the concept of devil and God in people's minds. People used to fancy about hell and heaven in a realistic way. This conditioning is still present in the current society but in a lot weaker sense. Later in the history, people like Martin Luther fought against such conditioning and demanded to free the society from the papal Christianity. He demanded that each person should be allowed to interpret religious scriptures in his own way. It was an end of one kind of morality which seemed to be inevitable at that time.

In the 16th or 17th century, Science started proving astronomical things. They proved that Earth revolves around the Sun as opposed to the old traditional saying that Sun revolves around the Earth. Earth was considered as the center of the universe. As, Science came up with more and more mind boggling facts, the things which were considered so certain were not certain anymore and we were left with uncertain and mysterious universe. The definition of Gods and Devils which was prevalent long time back was terribly collapsing. At this time, people needed new definition of God and the existence of ourselves. Science started dominating in every respect and it became a new tool to explore about the universe. It was regarded as the only method now to validate the existence of something. Science started exploring universe but due to its complex nature, we could not reach to any certain result which could define who we really are? and what are the purposes of our lives? So, due to uncertain nature of this existence, our focus started shifting towards becoming more stable economically. We thought to stabilize ourselves in this meantime till scientists resolve mysteries of this universe. The real question that we were trying to explore had lost in the last four centuries and our mind became preoccupied with money and stability only. The second insight is all about this preoccupied mind aspiring for secular and financial security. This preoccupied mind is going to fall and culture will slowly start shifting towards real spiritual questions.

This book was written about 15 years ago. I think at that time, there were only very few scientists who used to talk about God and this mysterious existence. Actually, they used to be certain in their own ways. They used to be biased in their research. They wanted scientific evidence to believe in God. Mystics say that God is one and it cannot be measured. How such a science could prove existence of God as science only talked of measuring things in the laboratories. Their focus was just on electrons and matter at that time.

Later, the concept of dark matter and similar things attracted more and more scientists. Now, scientists believe that 95% of the universe is made up of dark matter which is neither an electron and nor any other particle. What is dark matter this? It also cannot be measured but it is believed to be existing. The notions of traditional science have started failing and now the science has become more open to accept things. The experiments related to Large Hadron Collider can unveil strangest things in front of us. If, we still are not able to solve things, our consciousness will still be evolving automatically breaking down the traditional culture and economics.

The Celestine Prophecy Insight One

I am not a very proficient reader when it comes to books. But, there are certainly some books which have fascinated me a lot. The Celestine Prophecy is such a book that I am currently reading. I have already read some part of this book but I have yet to cover major portion of it. After reading some part of it, I grasped an idea about the content of this book. The book generally talks about how human civilization is going to change within the few decades. According to author a new kind of consciousness is arising within this whole world that is going to diversify our morality and living style. This change is going to develop in the form of nine insights arising one after the other. Author explained about all the nine insights in the form of a story so that book can be more interesting for a reader.



I am going to discuss briefly about the first insight here in this post.
The first insight says that we are going to be aware about the coincidences that happen in our lives. I have few examples of this insight from my personal life. Just taking a small example, I wanted to eat pizza one day but I could not do it because of lack of money or any other reason. Then, I dropped the idea of having pizza. As a coincidence, one of my family member brought pizza at home. It is a small coincidence but I have seen similar incidents hundreds of times in my real life. Whatever the size of your wish is, it is not going to be difficult for this existence to adjust itself. I can be sure that you would have seen such incidents in your life too.

This insight basically deals with shifting and adjusting of this existence to fulfill your needs and wishes. I think movie "The Secret" talks about the same insight but their approach is entirely different. Their approach is to think again and again about a particular wish to make it fulfilled. The movie said that universe or existence automatically adjusts itself to satisfy your wishes or needs. Once, we are aware of this method, we can easily see things unfolding for us.

The alternative way is to forget about your wishes and leaving yourself free in this enormous existence, the existence itself knows what is needed to satisfy you. You just need to be aware of the things. Whatever is happening, you just see things happening but you do not become victim of the things happening in your life. Things will automatically encounter in your life and if you are aware enough, you will notice the mystery of this vast existence. The future will unfold in such a way that you will be amazed to see the things that you considered worst in your life happened for good reasons.

Whatever approach is followed, the first insight focuses on being aware of the coincidences. Start noticing small things happening in your life. May be you needed a special kind of person in your life. You may be having such a person in your life as a friend or lover but you may not be aware that you wanted such a person at some point which existence had delivered it to you. May be you were recalling your old friend sitting in your house on any random day and you got a call from that friend after such a long time but you were not fully aware about this coincidence. May be you wanted to know about some mysterious book and you found this post. Be aware this existence is stranger than you think.
